Mrs. Kahanek,

Thank you so much for coming to John D. Spicer Elementary yesterday. This was one of the best assemblies that we have had. Our students were captivated by your presentation of the books you have written. Our teachers enjoyed it too. In fact, they may have enjoyed it more than our students.

We really enjoyed the way you used the books you have written to communicate some very important things they need to know about the weather. As you elaborated about the points made in your book, our students really began to respond and gained some very important understanding about thunderstorms and especially the danger of lightening. I think we learned some very valuable information that our children will always remember from your visit. In fact, a couple of teachers commented in the hallway after the assembly saying, “We just had a great science lesson.”

I also want to thank you for taking the time to sign all the books that our students had purchased. Many were pleased that you were not in a hurry to do the program and then leave. It was obvious that you were committed to our school the entire morning. This really did make a great impression on our staff.

We want you to come back. Hopefully we can get you on the calendar soon for another visit next year.
Sincerely,
Mike Dukes
